Kitchen Island Table Island Or Table For Our Kitchen?

My mother and I are hosting Thanksgiving this year and want a table for our kitchen and dining room (get the kitchen) is quite small. Get my opinion, a frame on the island would be a much smarter idea. We would be cons-room and additional office space or more. Usually it is only that were my mother and me so little good chair to sit down. I'm not sure that's the idea better, so I hope to get more opinions.
